Eta Phi Beta prides itself on the fact that is unique because conventions are a family affair and include husbands and children. The National Council of SHAD Club, an auxiliary of Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., is comprised of sorority members’ husbands who convene at the same time.
Youth participants, the Bee-Ettes and Senords, are comprised of girls and boys in middle or high school; and to complete the family cycle are the Eta Kids, children under twelve. These auxiliaries are not just for ceremonial purpose, but they have mini conventions and work shop sessions built into the Sorority’s conference.
Shads and Youth Groups of chapters come together during the Regional and National Conferences. The Youth groups in the Mid-Eastern Region are busy year long with various community outreach programs.
The Shads are always available to assist the ladies of Eta Phi Beta.
